CP-9

Coating pan designed for coating operations of different types of tablets, pellets and granules.

The CP-9 Coating Pan is a compact rotary coating system designed for the coating of tablets, pellets, and granules. It is well suited to formulation development, R&D, pilot-scale trials, and small-batch production where controlled coating performance, simple handling, and easy observation are important.

The system features a coating bowl with integrated baffles to promote efficient product movement and improve coating uniformity. When mounted on the UAM Universal Motor Drive via the UGD Universal Gear Drive, the CP-9 provides adjustable rotational speed and pan angle to support optimized coating, drying, and discharge conditions.

Key Features

  • Rotary coating pan for tablets, pellets, and granules
  • Bowl with integrated baffles for improved product movement and coating efficiency
  • Adjustable rotational speed through the UAM Universal Motor Drive
  • Adjustable operating angle via the UGD Universal Gear Drive
  • Compatible with spray-gun systems for application of coating liquids
  • Compatible with external drying devices
  • Optional 150 W IR lamp with metal support for enhanced drying
  • Easy product discharge through pan-angle adjustment
  • Simple construction for convenient installation, cleaning, and servicing
  • GMP-compliant, sterilizable product-contact parts
  • Corrosion-resistant, medical- and food-grade contact materials

Operating Principle

The CP-9 operates according to the rotary spray-coating principle. As tablets, pellets, or granules rotate inside the baffled coating pan, coating liquid can be applied using a compatible spray gun. The baffles support movement of the product bed, helping to expose the material to the coating spray.

Drying can be assisted by an optional IR lamp or a heater/blower mounted on the UGD lever. After processing, the pan angle can be adjusted to simplify product discharge.
