The BM-5 Stainless Steel Ball Mill is a versatile laboratory and pilot-scale system for the grinding and mixing of solid, crystalline, and wetted materials. Designed for both dry and wet processing, it is suitable for particle-size reduction of powders, pellets, slugs, tablets, and similar solid products, as well as for milling and mixing slurries.
Operating on the tumbling milling principle, the BM-5 uses a rotating stainless-steel drum containing milling balls. As the drum rotates, the balls tumble with the material, producing a controlled grinding and mixing action. Rotation speed is smoothly adjustable through the UAM Universal Motor Drive, allowing the process to be adapted to the material and required result.

Operating Principle
The BM-5 operates through tumbling milling. The sealed mixing drum rests on a double roller track and rotates at the selected speed. Milling balls inside the drum continuously tumble through the material, creating mechanical impact and friction that reduce particle size while supporting thorough mixing.
The drum cover is secured by a knurled screw and support set, which press the cover against a rubber gasket to create an airtight seal.
